At the 54th Session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva on September 27, Kashmiri socio-political activist Tasleema Akhtar strongly challenged Pakistan’s narrative on Kashmir and exposed what she described as its misleading propaganda.
During her intervention, Tasleema, a native of Jammu and Kashmir, highlighted the stark contrast in development between the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). She stated that the progress witnessed in infrastructure, connectivity, and public facilities in Jammu and Kashmir clearly reflects the changing realities on the ground.
