Human rights defender condemns terror attack on non local labourers in Budgam

Akhter, a prominent human rights defender, has strongly condemned the recent terror attack by Pakistan-basedter-rorists in Budgam, which resulted in injuries to innocent non-local laborers.
In a statement, Akhter described the attack as a heinous act of violence against vulnerable indi-viduals who are merely trying to earn a living.
“This brutal act is not only an attack on the victims but also on the fundamental human rights we all cherish. It violates the principles of peace and dignity that must be upheld in our society,” she stated Akhter emphasized the urgent need for enhanced protection and security measures for all individuals, regardless of their origin.
“This targeted attack serves as a stark reminder of the pressing necessity to safe-guard the rights of every person in our community,” she said, extending her thoughts and prayers to the injured and their families, whoarefacing unnecessary suffering due to such sense-less violence.
The human rights defend-er called on local authorities to take swift and effective action to bring the perpetrators of this attack to justice. She urged for strengthened protections for civilians and a united front against terrorism, hatred, and division. “We must work together to build a society that up-holds human rights, peace, and mutual respect,” she concluded.
