About ATVK Trust

ATVK Trust is a humanitarian and advocacy organization dedicated to supporting victims of terrorism and their families in Jammu and Kashmir. Established to amplify the voice of those affected by terrorism and violence, the organization works to seek justice, rehabilitation, and long-term support for survivors and communities impacted by terrorism.

ATVK is committed to helping victims rebuild their lives with security and respect. The organization believes that every victim deserves recognition and the opportunity to live with dignity despite the challenges they have endured.

Over the years, ATVK has become a platform for advocacy and support through awareness campaigns, community outreach, counselling programs, and humanitarian initiatives. It engages with national and international forums, including the United Nations, to highlight the human cost of terrorism and amplify the voices of survivors. Through its efforts, ATVK promotes peace, human rights and social justice while striving to build a more inclusive society.

Tasleema Akhter

As Founder & Chairperson ATVK, Tasleema Akhter leads the Trust in service of the mission of promoting peace, justice, dignity and support for victims of terrorism and their families. Tasleema is committed to raising awareness about the human impact of terrorism and strongly believes terrorism is a gross violation of human rights, directly attacking the right to life, liberty and security.

The trust advocates for a framework where every victim receives recognition, justice and the respect necessary to rebuild their life with dignity. Tasleema places a critical emphasis on the protection of women and children, who often bear the brunt of such violence and are frequently left to navigate severe social and economic hardships after losing family members to terror.
