Tasleema Akthar Condemns Alleged Firing on Civilians in PoJK, Calls for Justice at UN

Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir: Tasleema Akthar, Chairperson of the Association of Terror Victims, strongly condemned the alleged firing on unarmed civilians by the Pakistan Army in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK). Speaking in Srinagar, she alleged that the civilians were participating in a peaceful protest to demand their basic rights when they came under indiscriminate fire. Akthar described the incident as a serious violation of human rights and expressed solidarity with the affected families.

Akthar stated that the Association of Terror Victims would submit a memorandum to the United Nations seeking justice for the people of PoJK and urging the international community to take note of the alleged incident. She asserted that the residents of PoJK should not feel isolated and reiterated her organization’s demand for accountability and the protection of civilians. Her remarks reflect the organization’s call for international attention to the humanitarian concerns in the region.
